GMT-Master Ref. 16750 The GMT-Master 16750 is a vintage watch produced from the late 1970s to the late 1980s. The two-tone blue and red bezel quickly earned the nickname “Pepsi Rolex” and propelled its popularity among replica watches enthusiasts.  rolex-cellini-platinum
It is the successor to the GMT-Master model, which was introduced in 1954 and was designed for pilots to track multiple time zones. The GMT-Master 16750 is similar to the original GMT-Master, but it has a few updates and upgrades that set it apart.
One of the main differences between the GMT-Master 16750 and the original GMT-Master is the movement. The 16750 uses the 3075 movement, which significantly improves over the 1575 movement used in earlier models. The 3075 movement has a quick set date function and a black second function that sets the watch to the exact second.
As a result, the wearer can adjust the date by simply turning the crown rather than constantly turning the center hand on the dial until it finds the right date. This is a particularly useful feature that saves a great deal of time and effort. The advent of the quick-adjustment mechanism has changed the order of the central hands, with the GMT hand now preceding the hour hand. Of course, the GMT hand, together with the rotating bezel with 24-hour markers, enables the GMT-Master to display two time zones at the same time.
During its eight years of production, the replica Rolex GMT-Master ref. 16750 had two different dial variations within its steel case. The first generation had a matte black dial with hour markers without white gold surrounds, while the later dials had glossy black hour markers that included white gold surrounds.
An interesting dial variation of the yellow gold GMT-Master Ref. is the Serti dial. 16758 is a Serti dial. Derived from the French word “sertir,” meaning “set” in jewelry, in the Rolex vintage collecting world, the Serti dial refers to the unique gemstone found on some Submariner and GMT-Master models dials. The diamond hour markers on these dials are accompanied by ruby or sapphire indicators at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, making the GMT-Master a very luxurious version.
A key reference in the GMT-Master collection, the Ref. 16750 offers copy Rolex collectors the style of a vintage GMT-Master with more modern features, such as the quickset function.
